6 THE DAILY ITEM Sunbury, Feb. 21, 1976 Marriage vows exchanged by area couples Ambelas-Fox Rel NORTHUMBERLAND St. John's Lutheran Church was the setting for the wedding uniting Lily A. Ambelas and Louis E. Fox in marriage.

The double ring ceremony was performed at 2 p.m. Feb. 15 by the Rev. Alan J. Kieffer.

The bride, a' resident of 353 Third is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Packer of Northumberland. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Daniel W.

Fox, 119 Railroad Danville, and the late Mr. Fox. Chosen as the matron of honor was Mrs. Molly Feaster, Watertown, N.Y., daughter of the bride. The bridesmaids were Mrs.

Mary Norris, Sunbury, and Mrs. Athena Pappas, Danville. Jessica Feaster, Watertown, served as the flower girl. George Pap pas, Danville, was the best man, and the ushers were Scott Feaster, Watertown, and James Quigg, Danville.Presented in marriage by her son, Gregory J. Ambelas, the bride wore a floor-length pale pink knit gown, designed with an empire waistline, V.

neckline and long sleeves. A pink picture hat held her waist length illusion veil, and she carried pink and winecolored roses with baby's breath. The bride's gown was designed and created by the bride's niece, Mrs. Margo Wagner of Sunbury. Joseph Kimbel of Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, provided the organ music, and the vocalists were Mr.

and Mrs. Thomas Gresh, Northumberland. After a reception for 200 guests in the Lewisburg American Legion post home, the couple left for a honeymoon. Upon their return they will live at 353 Third St. A graduate of Northumberland High School, Mrs.

Fox is a receptionist at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. The bridegroom, a graduate of Danville High School, is employed by Federal Civil Service with the Pennsylvania National Guard, Middletown. Mrs. Louis E. Fox Kerstetter-Derk SUNBURY Miss Louella Kathryn Kerstetter became the bride of George Edward Derk in a double ring ceremony in Zion Lutheran Church.

The Rev. Robert A. Young performed "the service at 2 p.m. Valentine's Day. The bride, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Elmer Kerstetter, Liverpool RD1, was given in marriage by her parents. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Dorothy Derk, 134 N. Fifth St.

Mrs. Esther Swartz, Millerstown, sister of the bride, served as the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Joan Long and Kathy Inch, Selinsgrove. The flower girl was Angie Mull, Sunbury, cousin of the bridegroom. The best man was Bob Carl, Herndon, and the ushers were Howard Swartz, Millerstown, brother-in-law of the bride, and Tim Hummel, Sunbury, cousin of the bridegroom.

Danny Kerstetter, Liverpool, nephew of the bride, served as the ring bearer. The bride was attired in a floor-length gown of chantilly lace and satin. A seed pearl crown held her veil, and she carried red and white roses. Mrs. Barbara Smillie, Selinsgrove, provided the organ music.

A reception for 125 guests followed in the Port Trevorton firehall. The couple is living at 134 N. Fifth St. Mrs. Derk Selinsgrove Area High School.

The bridegroom attended Shikellamy High School and is employed at Danville Cabinet Industries, Inc. Thomas-Gundrum rum WATSONTOWN Cindy Lee Thomas and Norman Ronald Gundrum exchanged marriage vows before Kenneth Fairchild, district justice of the peace. The 12:30 p.m. single ring ceremony was performed Feb. 14 in Fairchild's home.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Dershem, New Columbia RD1, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman T.

Gundrum, 618 Shakespeare Milton. The bride, presented in marriage by Norman T. Gundrum, chose Mrs. Donna J. Gundrum, Milton, mother of the bridegroom, as the matron of honor.

The best man was Norman T. Gundrum, Milton, father of the bridegroom. A reception for 30 guests followed in the White Deer Community Park. The couple is living in Jacksonville, N.C. Mrs.

Gundrum, a 1974 graduate of Milton Area High School, had been employed at Milton Shoe Factory, The bridegroom, a 1973. graduate of the same high school, is a helicopter mechanic in the U. S. Marine Corps. Ressler-Hoyles SUNBURY Miss Susan D.

Ressler and Fowler E. Hoyles exchanged marriage vows on Valentine's Day before Wade Brown, district justice of the peace, at 2. p.m. in a double ring service. The bride, a resident of 219 Arch is the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Elmer Ressler, Sunbury RD2. She is a graduate of Shikellamy High School. NOR THUMBERLAND Miss Kim Marie Reigner and Kenneth Ray Ruch III exchanged marriage vows in St. John's Lutheran Church.

The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rey. Alan Kieffer Valentine's Day at 2 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Winston C.

Reigner and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ray Ruch Northumberland RD1, are the parents of the newlyweds. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white gown with long bell sleeves edged with lace. The stand-up collar and plastron were lined in lace, and a hooded chapellength cape of flocked organza completed her ensemble.

She carried long-stemmed roses. The maid of honor was Miss Debbie Lee Reigner, Northumberland, sister of the bride. The junior bridesmaid was Miss Jacqueline Reigner, another sister of the bride. Faith Marie Saxton, Northumberland, served as the flower girl. James C.

Ferguson, Northumberland, was the best man, and the ushers were Charles W. Hackenburg, Nor-: thumberland, cousin of the bridegroom; Edward G. Reitz, Sunbury, cousin of the bride; and Wayne A. Ruch, Northumberland, brother of the bridegroom. Steven K.

Ruch, a graduate of Shikellamy High School, is employed at Sunbury Textile Mills, Inc. The bridegroom is employed at Carter Lumber Nor thumberland RD1. Mrs. Victor R. Jensen Reidinger-Jensen ensen DANVILLE The marriage of Miss Melanie Ann Reidinger and Victor Robert Jensen was solemnized in St.

Joseph's Catholic Church Feb. 14. The double ring service was performed at noon by the Rev. John Brubaker, cousin of the bride. The bride is the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Marlin Reidinger, Danville RD4. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Agnes Jensen, 66 beaver Place. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride chose her sisters as her honor attendants.

Serving were, Miss Lori Reidinger, of honor, and Mrs. Michael Gray, matron of honor, both of Danville. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Gregory Reidinger, Danville, sister-in-law of the bride; Mrs. Ronald Showers, Danville: Miss Carla Rebuck, Northumberland; Miss Ann Linn, Catawissa; and Miss Dawn DeLong, Danville.

Miss Kelli Rickert, Danville, cousin of the bridegroom, served as the flower girl. David Jensen, Danville, was the best man for his brother. The ushers were Ronald Showers; Paul Jensen, brother of the bridegroom; Peter Noll; Gregory Reidinger, brother of the bride; and Murray Johnson, all of Danville, and Ralph Dailey, Riverside. Todd Reidinger, Danville, brother of the bride, served as the ring bearer. Mrs.

Catherine Brady, Danville, provided the wedding music. A reception for 140 guests followed in the Holiday Inn, Danville. After a honeymoon to an undisclosed destination, the newlyweds will live in California. A graduate of Danville High School, Mrs. Jensen had been employed as a licensed practical nurse at the Geisinger Medical Center.

Sholley Hayes-Sholley The marriage of Miss Diane Jean Hayes to Kerry Lee Sholley was solemnized in the First Church of the Nazarene, The Rev. Fred D. Pick performed the double ring ceremony at 2 p.m. Valentine's Day. The bride, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. David Hayes, 101 E. Green is a graduate of Lock Haven State College where she earned a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Paul Sholley, Lewisburg. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in computer science at the same college and is employed as a computer programmer for Weis Markets, Sunbury. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride chose a white organza gown with venise and cluny lace banding the high neckline, sheer bodice, Mrs. James P. Sykes Ashby-Sykes MILTON Miss Denise M.

Ashby became the bride of James P. Sykes a double ring ceremony in Christ Episcopal Church. The Rev. John Seville performed the 3 p.m. service Feb.

15. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Hendricks, 146 N.

Front was given in marriage by her parents. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester A. Sloan, Dolores, Colo.

The bride was attired in a white giana gown with long fitted sleeves, high neckline and wedding ring collar, all trimmed with venise lace. The chapel length train fell from shoulders, and her hood was accented with venise lace and seed pearls. She carried white orchids and stephanotis on top of a white Bible, given to her by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred D.

Glant, Milton. Chosen as the maid of honor was Miss Yolanda Zellers, Milton, The bridesmaid was Mrs. Anthony Necci, Watsontown, cousin of the bride. Another cousin, Miss Wendy Necci. Watsontown, served as the flower girl.

The best man was Dennis F. Ashby, Milton, brother of the bride, and Robert Long, Montandon, was the usher. Mrs. Oliver Wert, Milton, provided the organ music. Approximately 100 guests greeted the newlyweds at the reception in the Milton Elks where the music was provided by Mrs.

Wert. After a honeymoon in Gettysburg, the couple will be living at 111 Edgewater Road, Savannah, Ga. Mrs. Sykes, a graduate of Milton Senior High School, is de serving with the U. S.

Army, stationed at Ft. Hunter, Savannah. The bridegroom graduated from Samuel Clemens High School, Schertz, and is employed by the Bassett Chemical Savannah, He was discharged Jan. 30 from the U. S.

Army at FL. Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Hendricks entertained the bridal party at the Milton Elks Club following the rehearsal. Mrs.

David E. Lindquist Ball-Lindquist MARS HILL, N.C, Miss Sharon Denise Ball and David Eric Lindquist, were united in marriage in the Calvary Baptist Church, Mars Hill. The double ring ceremony was performed at 1 p.m. Feb. 7 by the Rev.

Ralph Lee Hogan, uncle of the bride, and the Rev. Michael Langell, pastor of St. Francis Church, Franklin, N.C. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Charles E. Ball, Barnardsville, N.C, She is a 1971 graduate of North Buncombe High School and attended Cecile's Business College, receiving her diploma in 1973. She is employed as a secretary by Western Carolina Telephone Co. The bridegroom is the son of Me. and Mrs.

Robert C. Lindquist, Shamokin Dam. He is a 1906 graduate of Hamilton Central High School, Hamilton, Mrs. Kenneth R. Ruch Feger-Snyder SUNBURY The wedding of Mary Feger and Martin F.

Snyder took place Valentine's Day in the Bethany a ngelical Congregational Church. The Rev. Paul Swartz performed the ceremony. The bride is the former Mary Marks of Northumbelrand, daughter 4 of the late Mr. and Mrs.

Oscar Marks. The bridegroom is the son. of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Snyder of Northumberland RD1 Mr.

and Mrs. Snyder are employed at Wilson Manufacturing Sunbury. They are living in the Northumberland RD1 area. Sunbury action center lists activities SUNBURY The- activities at the Sunbury Senior Action Center, Market and Eighth streets, will begin with square dancing Monday at 2 p.m. The dancing is under the direction of Herbert Hauch.

The class is open to anyone who would like to learn or just enjoy it, according to Mrs. Bette Anderson, supervisor. Tuesday is card day at the center. Card playing will begin at 1:30 p.m. Knitting and crotching classes will begin at 2 p.m.

The chorus will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday- for rehearsal of Easter and Bicentennial music. The group is still accepting members if anyone is interested in joining. The quilting class will not be held Thursday because of renovations being made to the center. Friday is drop in day for those who wish to talk to the supervisor about any problems.

Anyone witshing to on crafts or other handwork may visit the center Friday, also. Paneling for bathrooms Plastic hardboard paneling gives a bathroom washability plus good looks. Surfaces range from baked on, melamine plastic to viayi overlays which can be installed over existing plaster or plasterboard walls. The paneling is available in decorator colors, and a variety of patterns and textures such as wood -grain finishes or exotic tile designs. Besides being attractive, it is sturdy, no eureresistant and cleanable with a sudsy cloth.

The menu for the week includes stuffed cabbage roll, Monday; baked liver and onion gravy, Tuesday; stewed chicken leg and pot pie, Wednesday; roast fresh ham, Thursday; and deviled crab cutlet, Friday. Meals are served at noon each day at center. Resercenter one day in advance for each meal, according to Mrs. Anna Hull. Engagements bishop sleeves and deep hemline ruffle.

The A-line skirt extended into a chapel-length train. A cluny lace camelot headpiece held her chapellength mantilla, edged in cluny lace and appliqued in venise lace, Serving as the maid of honor was Miss Theresa Temchack, Beccaria. The bridesmaids were Miss Cheryl Stuckey, Shillington, and Miss Carol Sholley, Lewisburg, sister of the bridegroom. The best man was Lynn Sholley, brother of the bride. Dennis Hayes and Douglas Hayes, Mifflinburg, brothers of bride, were the ushers.

Mrs. Sharon Kribbs. Lewisburg, was the organist, and the vocalist was Seth Zeigler, Lewisburg. A reception for 200 guests followed in the basement of the parsonage. The newlyweds are living at Lewisburg RD2.

The bridegroom, son of Mrs. Grace Hoyles, Hotel, Sunbury, is a resident of 219 Arch He is a graduate of Ithaca Senior High School, Ithaca, N.Y. Mrs. Janet Mensch, Sunbury, sister of the bride, served as the matron of honor. The best man was Gregg Mensch, Sunbury, brother-inof the bride.

The couple is living at 219 Arch N.Y. He earned a bachelor of arts degree from Done College, Crete, and is employed as a marketing consultant with Western Carolina Telephone Co. Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Mrs. Kelly Williams as the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Brenda Ball, sister of the bride: Patricia Ray.

Weaverville, N.C.: and Sabra Sprinkle, Marshall, The junior attendant was Teresa Ledford, Weaverville. Chosen as the best man was Leroy Seivers, Lincoln, Neb. The ushers were Sgt. Tim Frye, Kingsport, Capt. Carl Doane, Charlotte, N.C.; and Ed Crawford, Chambersburg.
